Dr. Carolyn Molzahn, a graduate of Dublin Scioto High School and Denison University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, chose dentistry for its hands-on nature and the opportunity to build lasting relationships. Inspired by Dr. Nameth during her early career exploration, she attended The Ohio State College of Dentistry and completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. An active member of dental associations, certified in Invisalign, Botox, and Dermal Fillers, Dr. Molzahn is passionate about a wide range of dental procedures. Beyond dentistry, she cherishes family, friends, and outdoor activities, finding inspiration in her husband Christian and being a proud mother of two beautiful children.

The cost of your dental checkup and cleaning will vary depending on numerous factors, including the condition of your oral health and your insurance coverage. Most insurance providers cover 100% of routine visits like checkups and cleanings, but this will differ from plan to plan. Without insurance, the average cost is between $200 and $350.
There is no single designation that qualifies a dentist to be a cosmetic dentist. That said, you can look for certain attributes to ensure that you’re choosing an expert. There are many organizations which offer advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. The dentist’s bio will usually have helpful information on their educational background where you can find out about their training.
Dentistry is all about prevention – for your health and your wallet. By attending regular, cost-effective checkups and cleanings, you can minimize your risk of more severe and costly problems in the future. Dental insurance is always an effective tool to help pay for your dental care by taking advantage of your plan’s benefits. However, if you don’t have insurance, there are usually alternative financing options that will help you enjoy high quality, affordable dentistry. Additionally, there are low-to-no cost dental clinics that operate in some cities. The easiest way to find them is to use Google.
All dentists in the US must have either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) from one of the 67 Accredited dental schools in the country. To get accepted into these schools, you must have a bachelor’s degree with high grades, specifically in math and science. Dental school is made up of 3 years of hands-on and classroom learning. Plus, many dentists go on to complete advanced training in various specialties.
