What is Invisalign?

Invisalign treatment involves the use of a series of clear-plastic aligning trays that gradually shift your teeth. Dr. Molzahn will examine your smile and take impressions to create your custom-made aligning trays. You will wear each tray for about 2 weeks, switching them out for the next in the series to progress your treatment. Dr. Molzahn recommends wearing your aligners between 20 and 22 hours a day to keep your treatment on schedule.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

Unfortunately, the cost of Invisalign can’t be estimated without a visit to our office because of the many factors that play a role in price. The severity of your misalignment and what kind of insurance you have are just a few variables that affect the cost of your Invisalign treatment. Additionally, there can be added cost if you lose or break an aligner, or don’t comply with treatment instructions. The best way to know the price of your treatment is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Molzahn. She will examine your smile and provide a fair estimate for your treatment.

What is Life Like with Invisalign?

The best part of Invisalign treatment is that it doesn’t require a change in diet or oral healthcare to accommodate your aligning trays. You can simply wear your aligners throughout the day and night, only removing them to eat and clean your mouth. You should rinse your aligners every time you take them out of your mouth as well as before you put them back in. You should also clean your aligners daily, using room-temperature water and clear soap to avoid warping the plastic or damaging them.

It’s important that you still practice good oral healthcare because your aligners can trap food debris and bacteria in your teeth, causing a higher risk of decay and gum disease. That’s why it’s a good idea to brush and floss your teeth after each meal and before putting your aligning trays back in your mouth.

Am I a Good Candidate for Invisalign?

The only way to be certain that you’re a candidate for Invisalign is to schedule an appointment with Dr. Molzahn. She will examine your mouth, bite, and alignment to decide if Invisalign treatment is right for you. However, Invisalign is usually recommended for patients who:

Invisalign cannot address all types of orthodontic issues, which is why visiting Dr. Molzahn is an integral part of your treatment plan. Contact us today to get started on a beautifully straight smile.
